Promoting responsible dog ownership
Training for you and your best friend (large or small) using gentle reward based methods.
Our positive training builds a strong healthy relationship between dog and handler, whilst teaching good canine manners in a relaxed friendly environment. Positive reinforcement training is about rewarding the behaviour you want and ignoring or managing what you do not want. We teach you to set your dog up for success.
Training should be fun and relevant for both dog and handler. Our aim is to teach you to manage your dog to suit your lifestyle, and to fulfill your responsibility to the community as a dog owner.
Our classes are run by experienced instructors, most having formal qualifications in dog training.
Heat Policy
Southside Dog School will not operate if, on the previous evening, the temperature for the particular training day is forecast to be 35 degrees or over. The only exception is when a Fun Day has been organised, which will still go ahead. Please check Bureau of Meteorology Site for forecasts.
All instructors and helpers are volunteers.
