Thursday and Sunday
8.55 - 9.30 am   
Socialisation and Puppy Class
Everyone starts in Socialisation Class, or Puppy Class if puppy is under six months of age.
Socialisation is an important introduction to dog school, where your dog learns to be calm around other dogs and people. "If I am stressed, I cannot think - if I cannot think, I cannot learn".  This applies equally to dog and handler. Naturally then, graduation from this class requires dog and handler to be relaxed and paying attention to each other. This usually takes several lessons.
Puppy class - As for socialisation and will also cover all those puppy training challenges such as house soiling, mouthing, chewing, etc.
Thursday and Sunday
8.55 - 9.30 am   
Clicker (or bridge) Class
An introductory class teaching a fabulous way to communicate with your dog. This usually takes two lessons.
Thursday and Sunday
9.45 - 10.30 am
Classes 1 - 3
Build on basic exercises, sit, stand, drop, stay, come, and walk on a loose lead using the clicker (or bridge) with gradual increases in degree of difficulty. Emphasis is also placed on good doggy manner at home and out walking. At the end of Class 3, dog and handler teams are tested for our 'Tailwaggers Certificate' requiring a high standard of doggy good manners and handler knowledge of responsible dog management and ownership.

10.45  - 11.30 am
Class 4
These classes are open ended, providing a variety of experiences in dog sports, formal obedience, tricks, etc.  For some, it becomes a regular social outing for dog and owner.

Agility

We have agility equipment which is used in all classes.
